Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) explains prohibited and restricted uses of Privocio.

1. Scope

This policy applies to use of our website, hosted services, APIs, dashboards, enterprise deployments, support channels, and any related services provided by The Useless Company PTE LTD.

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Privocio to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or third-party rights
  • Process content without proper authority, consent, or legal basis
  • Infringe privacy, intellectual property, confidentiality, or publicity rights
  • Distribute malware, spyware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, credentials, or data
  • Interfere with the integrity, security, or availability of the service
  • Abuse rate limits, technical limits, or fair-use policies
  • Engage in fraud, phishing, spam, impersonation, or deceptive practices
  • Facilitate harassment, threats, abuse, hate, or unlawful harmful conduct
  • Submit content intended to disrupt, overload, or degrade service performance

3. Restricted Content and Compliance-Sensitive Use

If you use Privocio in regulated, sensitive, or high-risk contexts, you remain responsible for ensuring that your use complies with applicable law, contracts, and internal policies. Enterprise or self-hosted customers may receive additional controls or contractual terms, but those do not remove your compliance responsibilities.

4. Security and Technical Misuse

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where expressly permitted by law
  • Bypass authentication, authorization, or billing controls
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract service data without authorization
  • Use the service in a way that creates excessive load or operational risk

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warning, throttling, suspension, termination, content restriction, reporting to relevant authorities, or other reasonable protective measures.

6. Updates

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time by posting an updated version with a revised effective date.
